What we do

The Tenterden & District Association is a group of National Trust members in Tenterden, Cranbrook and the surrounding villages.

Objectives

Our objective is to promote and support the work of the National Trust, which as a charity, depends on its members and the general public. To assist in our fund-raising we hold social activities to make membership of the National Trust more enjoyable, and each year we support various National Trust projects from the profits we make.

We arrange a wide programme of monthly talks, outings and social meetings for our members and their guests. The November meeting includes our AGM. We organise holidays abroad and in the United Kingdom. All these raise funds for the National Trust.
Since our inauguration we have donated money to the following projects:
 Sissinghurst Gardens
 Smallhythe
 The Neptune Coastal Campaign
 Sheffield Park
 White Cliffs
 Bodiam Castle
 Polesden Lacey
 Snowdon

Aims

To support and contribute to specific projects of the National Trust properties in and near our area.
