10 Feb   Andy McConnell – “The decanter; an illustrated history to 1900.”

Another visit from our local Antiques Roadshow glass expert, with slides.

Please note that the January and February lectures are at 2.30pm at St. Mildred’s Church Hall, Tenterden

10 March              Ian Rumsley-Dawson – “Wildlife in the Canadian Backwoods.”

An illustrated lecture from our most popular wildlife lecturer.

14 April                Commander Patrick Coulcher – “Shackleton”

An illustrated talk with slides from the author and naturalist.

12 May   Robert Fromow - “The Alhambra Palace of Granada”

Talk with slides by the registered guide and lecturer.


9 June    Chris McCooey – “Sir Archibald McIndoe”

A talk about pioneering plastic surgeon and work at East Grinstead Hospital treating burns victims during the last war.


14 July  Russell Bowes – “The Capable Mr. Brown”

The lecturer who talked about “Gardens of the Tsars” in 2008 will give a lecture with slides.


11 Aug   Judith Kinnison  Bourke – “My Oxford Canal Family”

This University teacher of History will give a light-hearted talk in costume.


8 Sept     Dr. Ann Kneif – “The Bevin Boys”

An illustrated talk.


13 Oct    Ian Bevan – “Inns of Court”

The London Blue Badge Guide will give a talk with slides.


10 Nov AGM.      Speaker – Sue Medway who is General Manager for Sissinghurst, Smallhythe Place, Lamb House and Stoneacre, followed by Helen Ansen with children’s costumes from Bodiam Castle.

Please note that the November evening meeting starts half an hour earlier, at 7.00 pm in order to allow time for the AGM.
